I'm always getting the frankfurter over mashed potatoes. It's cozy easy food. My SO gets the fried chicken. The space is bright and noise carries easily here. Service has always been pleasant. Order at the counter they bring the food. Beer and wine on the menu. I tend to eat here less often in winter when I'm seeking a more cozy atmosphere. They're my go to when I can't decide on something else. Irrelevant side note - Still very sad that Cafe Zazzle closed.

Ohhhh love it! Came here cause it was Michelin rated! Twas Good! Will recommend it for sure!

Wow! I thought I could only get good Swedish Meatballs at Ikea! We found this delicious dish at Stockhome! What a lovely spot! My man and I had a day off on a weekday while the kids were at school. We took advantage of it and had a day's adventure in Petaluma. We found this place and decided to have lunch there. I ordered from a nice lady at the counter and our food was served quickly. We had: 1. Moules Frites - delicious mussels drowned in white wine and butter. The lady at the counter thought I only ordered fries, but I corrected her after receiving everything. It was odd that she served the fries without the mussels. Oh well, it wasn't a big deal. 2. Caprese & Tomatoes - It was light but filling. 3. Swedish Meatball - My favorite dish out of the three. The meatballs were delicately spiced and coated with rich gravy. On the sides were mashed potatoes and sweet lingonberry jam. There are other interesting dishes on the menu, but I wouldn't mind coming back for just the Swedish Meatballs!

This modern Scandinavian and Mediterranean (not fusion) spot was pretty busy on the Sunday afternoon I visited. The grilled brat was excellently doused in grilled onions on a brioche bun. No mustard, yes ketchup with pickles on the side. Also had a bowl of "mash potato." with tasty gravy. You order from the main counter then sit at a communal table or another small table. Love that they served Einstok beer! They also have a side counter where colorful Swedish candies are sold.

I've been here twice, once eating in and once for takeout. The seafood dishes I've tried were both very good, only reason for 4 stars is because I'm not sure the high prices equal the amount of food you get... I had the shrimp skagen a while ago. Last week, I got the little gems salad and added salmon (+$12). The salad cost me over $30 after tax and tip for a takeout order. The $12 for the salmon (which was cooked perfectly and tasted good) was ok, but the rest of the salad ingredients didn't seem to make it worth $30. However, the food concept here is not common, so I would come back to try more intriguing dishes! I just won't visit often due to the prices unfortunately.

Scandinavia meets Mediterranean? Only in Stockhome. This restaurant hit on so many levels for me. I loved the homestyle vibes, inviting and open atmosphere, communal seating, low key counter service and friendly staff. Rolling in I really wasn't sure what to expect but this spot truly delivered foodie fun beyond my expectations. We tried the Swedish meatballs (a must) with the fluffiest mashed potatoes and sweet tart lingonberries, the kids mac n cheese (def step above), the mezze plate (solid), all the veggie starters (broccolini was the fave), and a fried halloumi burger just for fun. Naturally we topped it off with the pickled herring in brown butter with rye crisps, the most Scandinavian sounding of all the dishes in the menu, and it was a home run. I wasn't sure what to expect but it was served warm, which surprised me, and I just loved how the fat, acid, sugar and heat from the horseradish in the dish all worked to make the perfect bite. If you're not eating here and you live nearby, go! If you're visiting, def put this on your list!

Interesting place! It is mostly self serve which we weren't expecting but nonetheless service was good and the people were so kind!! As for the food, my party mostly ordered the Swedish meatballs and I ordered the chicken pita. I would skip the chicken pita next time but definitely order the Swedish meatballs.

I love anything Scandinavian so I'm glad I discovered this place. It's more expensive than I'd imagine, not that it's overpriced but this is no Ikea Swedish meatballs. Their Swedish meatballs plate is $26. I've gotten that and the Tunnbrosdsrulle which I thought was really flavorful and definitely a meal to savor. Like Scandinavian places it's very clean and efficient. A good find for Petaluma.
